Shipping and Return Policy
We provide professional dry cleaning and pressing services to help your books achieve their highest possible grade. When submitting books to us, you have two primary options:
- Clean & Press Only: Your books are serviced and shipped back to you raw.
- Clean, Press & Grade: Your books are serviced and then submitted directly to CGC on your behalf for professional grading and encapsulation.
Turnaround Times
We take pride in our meticulous process. Please keep the following timelines in mind:
- In-House Service: On average, our turnaround time for cleaning and pressing is approximately 60 days* from the date we receive your books.
- CGC Grading (Optional): If you choose to have your books graded, they will be sent to CGC immediately following our service. Please Note: CGC’s processing times are independent of our boutique. These times vary based on their current backlog and the service tier selected. You can find their most up-to-date estimates on the CGC website.
Shipping Information
- Inbound Shipping: Customers are responsible for safely shipping their books to our boutique. we recommend using sturdy "T-folders" and insurance.
- Return Shipping Costs: For all submissions involving grading, shipping costs are calculated based on current CGC shipping rates, which include specialized packaging and insurance to ensure your slabbed books return safely.
- Raw Book Returns: If you are only receiving a clean and press (no grading), return shipping will be calculated at checkout based on weight and your preferred carrier.
Returns & Service Guarantee
Due to the nature of collectible comics and third-party services:
- Cleaning & Pressing: These are manual services. While we strive for the best results, we cannot "guarantee" a specific grade jump, as grading is subjective and performed by a third party (CGC). Cleaning and pressing fees are non-refundable once the service has been performed.
- Graded Books: Once a book is sent to CGC, it cannot be canceled or returned through our boutique. Any disputes regarding the physical grade or the CGC holder (slabs) must be addressed with CGC directly.
- Damage in Transit: If your books arrive at our boutique damaged, we will contact you immediately before performing any services. For return shipping damage, please retain all packaging to assist with insurance claims.
How to Track Your Order
Once your books arrive at our shop, you will receive a confirmation email. We will provide a second update once your books have completed our 60-day cleaning/pressing cycle and are either headed back to you or have been dropped off at CGC.
